To Me, SISTERS are like....

I was growing up in a big family. I have one brother and 3 sisters and our age range is only one year to each other. Since little, I had to share everything with them. We shared the same room, the same toys, books, magazines, bikes etc. There were days, where I wish I was an only child.
We used to fought over dresses and shoes and when we fought, we really fought like crazy. And to be honest, we occasionally stole each other’s money or things also. ^_^ So, I tell you a little secret, If your sister is in a hurry to go out and cannot catch your eye, she probably steals your best shoes/shirt/bag or money… ;)
BUT the amazing part of having sisters are, although we want to wring each other’s neck, we also love each other SO DEARLY at the same time.

There were times after we fought, we would teamed up to fought others outside the house, after we heard that one of our siblings were bullied or bothered. When sisters stand shoulder to shoulder, who stands a chance against us? No one dared to mess up with The Regar’s Sibling at that time. My siblings were also my best partner in crime. We used to steal our father’s money together and then share the loot in our room. Yap, we spent our childhood living like a thug ha ha ha ha ha.
“Sisters annoy, interfere, and criticize.  Indulge in monumental sulks, in huffs, in snide remarks.  Borrow.  Break.  Monopolize the bathroom.  Are always underfoot.  But if catastrophe should strike, sisters are there.  Defending you against all comers.”   **Pam Brown**
After we grew up as teenagers, out parents renovated our house and gave each of us a room, BUT eventually we still slept in the same room. Why? Because we love to talk for hours and then fell asleep in the middle our conversations. I didn’t acknowledge this before, but now I know that having a sister means I will always have a friend. This is a great blessing, I always thank God for.

The things that make sisters are better than any best friends (and sometime they understand us better than our husband) are because we are not just sharing stories but we know 'us' so well.  We share our private family jokes. We remember our family feuds and secrets; we suffer the same family griefs and celebrate the same joys.
I can show them my crankiness, telling them my boring drama, crying for my stupid decisions, and even curse in front of them, but they will still love anyway. And even if we show our evil side, we don’t have to worry that they will run out of their love for us. They know exactly when I have been bad but still pouring me with many many pleasant gifts. They are better than Santa Claus!

Sadly, I know not all sisters have the same relationship like us. There are some sisters who only see each other on Christmas or New Year and never speak to one another. I also know some sisters who compete and hate each other. It is their lost, because to me, sisters are like:

A warm blanket on a cold day.
A safety net in a chaotic world.
A coffee break in the middle of a boring meeting session.
